Black-and-white photography is enjoying a moment of glory – with historic German filmmaker Orwo releasing new monochrome film stock (the brand’s first in 50 years) and Wes Anderson filming parts of “The French Dispatch “There is definitely a nostalgic appeal to black and white film stock that urges artists, whether film or digital photographers, to eschew color in favor of something more classic. That’s why the theme of this week’s photos of the day is all about monochrome.
This week’s theme: B&W
We want to see your best B&W photos. Film, digital and even instant photos are welcome… as long as they are monochrome! And the subject/composition is entirely up to you. Will you channel your inner Ansel Adams, Henri Cartier Bresson or Vivian Maier? We can’t wait to see!
